Gadar 2: Sunny Deol's Epic Love Saga SMASHES SRK's Pathaan In Advance Booking, Promises BUMPER Opening

Gadar 2 Advance Booking: Sunny Deol is all set to make a dhamakedar comeback with his superhit film sequel, Gadar 2. Deol will be seen reprising his role as Tara Singh, along with Ameesha Patel as Shakeena and Utkarsh Sharma as their son Jeete.

Meanwhile, Gadar 2 has a strong grip and is thriving well in terms of advance bookings. While Akshay Kumar-led OMG 2, which releases on the same day, August 11, has an upper hand in advance booking sales.

Gadar sequel's advance booking, which kicked off this Monday, showed extraordinary trends for its opening day. The epic love saga is said to have the biggest opening of 2023 as it has already sold 1 lakh tickets in mass circuits, which is even bigger than Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.

According to trade analysts, Sunny and Amessha's drama action movie has outdone Shah Rukh's Pathaan on single screens. The film's response has been great, and talking about the same, Taran Adarsh stated that a total of 1,05,300 tickets have been sold at national chains.

Sharing the details on X, previously known as Twitter, the trade analyst wrote, "#Gadar2 advance booking status at *national chains*... Note: DAY 1 biz... #PVR: 45,200, #INOX: 36,100, #Cinepolis: 24,000, Total: 1,05,300 tickets sold."

Another trade analyst, Sumit Kadel, said, "Advance booking at B &C tier single screens is even BIGGER than #Pathaan. Such advance booking at SS has not been witnessed in years."

Gadar 2, by last Sunday, had sold around 45,000 tickets for the opening day across the three national chains. Meanwhile, it is aiming to wrap up its final advance booking with more than 200,000 ticket sales by Thursday night. It can easily do 10 crore sales, a report suggested.

On the other hand, OMG 2 is far behind, with a total collection of 1.20 crore gross.

Directed by Anil Sharma, who also helmed the original, Gadar 2 is set in 1971, about 20 years after the events of the first part. The trailer showed Tara Singh travelling all the way to Pakistan to save his son, Charan Jeet Singh, played by Utkrash Sharma, from the Pakistani Army.
