Tiger
Shroff
and
Kriti
Sanon
starrer
Ganapth
has
been
one
of
the
biggest
and
most
anticipated
action
thrillers.
Helmed
by
Vikas
Bahl,
the
dystopian
action
film
also
stars
Amitabh
Bachchan
in
a
key
role.
And
while
fans
have
been
quite
excited
to
watch
Tiger
and
Kriti
reunite
once
again
on
the
big
screen
after
almost
nine
years
of
their
debut,
Ganapath
has
turned
out
to
be
a
major
disappointment.
The
social
media
is
abuzz
with
tweets
fans
talking
about
Ganapath
and
what
they
liked
and
disliked.
While
the
fans
have
been
praising
the
makers
for
their
brave
attempt
to
make
a
futuristic
action
thriller,
they
have
been
disappointed
by
the
storyline,
poor
VFX
and
cliched
action
sequences.
The
average
reviews
are
likely
to
affect
the
box
office
collection
of
Ganpath.
According
to
a
report
published
in
Sacnilk,
after
witnessing
a
slow
start
at
the
box
office,
Ganapath
will
be
staying
steady
on
the
second
day.
For
the
uninitiated,
Ganapath
recorded
the
lowest
opening
for
Tiger
Shroff
with
the
first
day
collection
of
Rs
2.5
crores.
And
now,
it
is
expected
to
mint
Rs
2.36
crores
on
the
second
day
of
release
which
will
take
the
overall
collection
of
Ganapath
to
Rs
4.86
crores.
Interestingly,
Ganapath
has
been
witnessing
a
box
office
clash
with
Yaariyan
2
which
features
Meezaan
Jafri,
Divya
Khosla
Kumar
and
Pearl
V
Puri
in
the
lead.
As
per
the
box
office
report,
Ganapath
has
been
giving
a
tough
competition
to
Yaariyan
2.
Reportedly,
Yaariyan
2
has
been
struggling
to
make
1
crore
at
the
box
office.
After
an
opening
day
collection
of
Rs
60
lakhs,
it
will
reportedly
be
making
a
collection
of
Rs
52
lakhs
today.
It
will
be
interesting
to
see
how
Ganapath
and
Yaariyan
2
will
fare
in
the
coming
days.
Meanwhile,
Ganapath
is
also
making
heads
turn
for
its
mindboggling
acting
sequences
which
have
been
shot
in
Ladakh,
Vikas
got
candid
about
the
same
and
said,
"While
there
have
been
a
lot
of
films
that
have
shot
action
in
Ladakh
before,
we
got
really
lucky
as
we
shot
on
a
completely
new
terrain.
It
was
an
abandoned
town
about
Lamayuru
where
most
sequences
were
shot.
So
yes,
the
weather
conditions
were
unfriendly
and
erratic,
with
constant
dips
in
oxygen
levels.
But
Tiger,
Kriti
and
Rehman
sir
really
practised
hard
on
days
off
as
well
as
in
between
action
scenes,
in
spite
of
the
challenging
weather
conditions
and
low
oxygen
levels".
