Ganapath Advance Booking Report Day 1: Tiger Shroff’s Film Witnesses Slow Start

Ganapath Advance Booking Report Day 1

Tiger Shroff is making the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, his much anticipated release Ganapath Part 1 is set to hit the theatres tomorrow. Also starring Kriti Sanon, Ganapath is helmed by Vikas Bahl and is touted to be a dystopian action film. Needless to say, Ganapath has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

As everyone is looking eagerly for the release of Ganapath, the movie is likely to get an average start at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, the advance day booking report for first day for Tiger and Kriti starrer Ganapath drops hints of a slow start. Here are the numbers:

Ganapath Advance Booking Report Day 1

Hindi (2D) - 3,221,216.53

All India: 3,221,216 [32.21 Lac]

Tickets Sold (Day 1): 20,196

Average Ticket Price (ATP):

Hindi (2D) - 194

Total Shows (Day 1) - 4,865

Interestingly, Ganapath marks Tiger's second collaboration with Kriti Sanon. For the uninitiated, Tiger and Kriti had earlier collaborated for the 2014 release Heropanti which also marked the duo's debut film. Apart from Tiger and Kriti, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a key role.

As Ganapath is grabbing eyeballs for its mindboggling acting sequences which have been shot in Ladakh, Vikas got candid about the same and said, "While there have been a lot of films that have shot action in Ladakh before, we got really lucky as we shot on a completely new terrain. It was an abandoned town about Lamayuru where most sequences were shot. So yes, the weather conditions were unfriendly and erratic, with constant dips in oxygen levels. But Tiger, Kriti and Rehman sir really practised hard on days off as well as in between action scenes, in spite of the challenging weather conditions and low oxygen levels".

To note, Ganapath, which will be releasing in Hindi Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, will be witnessing a box office clash with Yaariyan 2 which features Meezaan Jafri, Pearl V Puri and Divya Khosla Kumar in the lead. It will be interesting to see how both the movies will fare at the ticket window in the coming days.
