Jawan Box Office Collection Day 12: SRK’s Film Beats Sunny’s Gadar 2 To On 2nd Monday Despite Major Drop

When Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee joined hands for their first collaboration Jawan, we knew a blockbuster was in the making. And when Jawan hit the theatres, it stood true to the expectations and took over the box office like a giant hurricane. Jawan, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Vijay Sethupathi etc in the lead, has been a visual treat for the fans and left everyone in awe at every point.

Interestingly, the movie's success can be measured by its phenomenal run at the box office wherein it has been shattering records almost every single day. From being the highest opener to being the fastest one to cross Rs 100cr, 200cr, 300cr and ever 400cr mark, Jawan has been unstoppable. In fact, with a phenomenal second weekend, this Atlee directorial is now close to crossing Rs 500 crores mark soon.

Amid this, Jawan has also been crushing Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 at the box office time and again. For the uninitiated, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 has been one of the biggest releases of the year and has been going strong at the box office. However, with the Jawan's strong hold at the box office and a collection of Rs 14 crore on day 12, it has managed to beat the Anil Sharma directorial on the second Monday and become the third highest grosser on a second Monday after Tiger Zinda Hai and Baahubali 2.

For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 had made a collection of Rs 13.5 crore on its second Monday. This isn't all. Jawan has also surpassed Gadar 2's collection on day 12 which was around Rs 12.1 crores. In fact, Jawan is now the third highest grossing movie on day 12 as well.

Meanwhile, with an overall collection of Rs 491.30 crores, Jawan is now moving strongly towards Rs 500 crore mark and is likely to surpass Gadar 2's collection soon.
