Jawan Box Office Collection Day 22: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film Sees 50% Drop On 4th Thursday; Will It Cross 600Cr?

Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's first collaboration Jawan has turned out to be a massive box office hit and there are no second thoughts about it. The movie, which also featured Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone in the lead along with Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist, has been winning hearts for its impressive storyline, stunning star cast and peppy numbers.

And while Jawan had all the ingredients of a blockbuster in right quantity, it has turned out to be a giant tsunami at the box office which crushed all the movies and not only became the highest opener but also ended up becoming the highest grossing Hindi film of all times after beating Pathaan and Gadar 2. But looks like, the Jawan wave is finally slowing down by the day.

To note, Jawan, which has ventured into the fourth week, has witnessed an over 50% drop in the collections. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan will be raking in a collection of Rs 2.31 crores on today (Day 22/ fourth Thursday). If the reports turned out to be true, the overall collection of Jawan will now stand at Rs 578.69 crores.

Given the massive fall in collections, there are speculations if Jawan will be able to cross the Rs 600 crore mark at the box office and create a new record amid the new releases taking over the ticket windows now.

Meanwhile, given the phenomenal success of Jawan, there have been reports about a sequel to the movie. Reacting to the reports, Atlee told Pinkvilla, "Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day".
