Jawan Box Office Collection Day 29: SRK’s Film Struggles To Make 2cr Ahead Of Mission Raniganj Release

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has turned out to be the biggest hit of the year and there are no second thoughts about it. The massy entertainer marked King Khan's first collaboration with filmmaker Atlee and South stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Jawan came with a perfect recipe of the blockbuster which had all the ingredients in right proportion.

Needless to say, Jawan stood true to the expectations and went on to take over the box office like a giant tsunami and went on to crush other movies while setting new benchmarks. In fact, Jawan has even managed to beat the lifetime collection of Pathaan (Rs 525 crores Hindi) to become the highest grossing Hindi film in India. This isn't all, it has also become fastest Hindi film to cross Rs 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office.

However, after ruling the box office for almost a month, Jawan is finally slowing down as new releases are coming into picture. Ahead of the release of Akshay Kumar's Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue and Bhumi Pednekar & Shehnaaz Gill starrer Thank You For Coming, Jawan is witnessing its lowest collections almost every day.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan will be seen struggling to make a collection of Rs 2 crores today (day 29). It is expected to mint Rs 1.85 crores today which will take the overall collections to Rs 617.43 crores. We wonder of Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue and Thank You For Coming will be be putting an end to Jawan's box office journey.

Given the phenomenal success of Jawan, there have been reports about a sequel to the movie. Reacting to the reports, Atlee told Pinkvilla, "Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day".
