Jawan Box Office Collection Day 35: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film Remains Steady In Week 5; Inches Close To Rs 630Cr

Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara have all the reasons to be on cloud nine and rightfully so. After all, their first collaboration has emerged as a mega blockbuster. We are talking about Jawan which was directed by Atlee and also features Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra etc in key roles. Jawan was released on September 7 this year and it emerged as a giant tsunami at the box office.
Despite a strong competition from Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 and Jawan managed to rule the box office and set new box office records. Not just it crushed Gadar 2, but it also managed to beat Pathaan's lifetime collection to become the highest grossing Hindi film ever. And now, it's been a month since Jawan release and it remains steady while inching towards a new milestone.
According to a report published in Sanilk, Jawan is likely to mint Rs 1.01 crores today (day 35/fifth Wednesday). And while it is going steady, Jawan's total collection will now stand at Rs 627.06 crores and it is gradually inching towards Rs 630 crores. Interestingly, Jawan is likely to be the fastest movie to reach the milestone.
Given the phenomenal success of Jawan, there have been reports about a sequel to the movie. Reacting to the reports, Atlee told Pinkvilla, "Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day".
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is now gearing up for his first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. Titled as Dunki, the movie also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead and will be releasing on Christmas this year.
