Jawan Box Office Day 7: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film FAILS To Beat Sunny’s Gadar 2 As It Inches Towards Rs 400 Crore

Shah Rukh Khan's recent release Jawan has been the biggest talk of the town these days. After all, it has marked Shah Rukh's first collaboration with ace filmmaker Atlee, South stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. It has been one of the biggest releases of the year and has been doing wonders at the box office as expected.
As Jawan saw a thunderous start at the box office with a collection of Rs 65 crore on the first day of release, it has been witnessing a strong hold at the box office. In fact, the SRK starrer has been shattering major box office records almost every day. Interestingly, Jawan has been facing rife competition with Sunny Deol and Ameesh Patel starrer Gadar 2 and frequent comparisons have been drawn between both the films.
And while Jawan has almost completed a week at the box office, it has witnessed a drop in the collections post the weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan is expected to rake in Rs 21.62 crore at the box office on day 7 of release. As the early estimates have been out and Jawan has been inching towards Rs 400 crore, it has failed to beat the day 7 collection of Gadar 2 which was around Rs 23.28 crore.
Meanwhile, as the total collections of Jawan stands at Rs 367.80 Cr now, the Atlee directorial has now managed to create another record by becoming the fastest Hindi film to cross the Rs 350 crore mark. For the uninitiated, Pathan had crossed the Rs 350 crore mark on day 9 while Gadar 2 did so on day 10 of release.
On the other hand, speculations are rife about Jawan crossing the Rs 500 crore mark soon for its lifetime collection. If the reports turned out to be true, it will help Shah Rukh Khan create a history and become the first Bollywood actor to have two movies with a joint collection of over Rs 1000 crore films in a year.
