Jawan Box Office Day 1 Collection: Shah Rukh Khan has revived the box office like no one has ever done. After creating an unprecedented buzz and anticipation, the actor's second film of 2023, Jawan, was released on September 1 and has taken the world by storm.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan has shattered all previous opening-day box office records and outperformed his own film Pathaan's records. It now stands as the highest-grossing Bollywood opening ever.

Jawan got off to an exuberant start, making monstrous numbers on day 1 itself. Read below for detailed statistics.

Jawan Box Office Day 1 Collection

The action-packed masala entertainer is headlined by Shah Rukh Khan and marks Nayanthara's Bollywood debut. It collected a massive Rs 65 crore from its Hindi version, defeating the record of the Hindi January release Pathaan, which made Rs 57 crore on the first day of theatrical release.

Pathaan was a spy-thriller movie, directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by YRF. It also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.

Meanwhile, it registered Rs 5 crore each from its dubbed versions in Telugu and Tamil, bringing its total first-day net India collections to Rs 75 crore. This makes Jawan the 'highest opening day Hindi nett of all time'.

Speaking of overseas collections, the Atlee film has added Rs 50-60 crore, making it around Rs 135 crore. This makes it the fourth biggest opening ever for an Indian film after only SS Rajamouli's RRR, Baahubali 2, and Prashanth Neel's KGF Chapter 2.

Jawan Delhi and Maharashtra collection

On the other hand, Jawan raked in 20 crore from Delhi and Maharashtra itself. In Maharashtra, the film was screened on 3197 screens and made Rs 11.44 cr. While Delhi's NCR region had around 1599 shows in total, it made 8.72 cr there.
