Jawan Box Office Collection Day 8: SRK’s Film Beats Gadar 2 & Pathaan; Creates THIS Record After First Week

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has been one of the biggest releases of the year and it has been shining bright at the box office since the first day. Helmed by Atlee, the massy entertainer opened to rave reviews from the audience and saw a grand opening at the box office.

After a thunderous opening of Rs 65 crores, Jawan has been shattering box office records every day. From highest opening day collection to highest third day collection, highest first saturday collection, highest first sunday collection, fastest movie to cross Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore, Rs 350 crore and more, Jawan has been unstoppable and the team is undoubtedly overwhelmed with the response.

And now, Jawan has completed a week at the box officer and continues to be unstoppable. But did you know Jawan has completed another box office record as it has managed to beat Gadar 2 and Pathaan? Yes! According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan has made a collection of Rs 327.88 crores net which happens to be the highest first week collection of a Hindi film. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer achieved the feat after beating Pathaan (Rs 318.50 Cr) and Gadar 2 (Rs 284.63 Cr).

It is undoubtedly a big achievement and now Jawan is all set to cross the Rs 400 crore mark soon. This isn't all. The Atlee directorial has also become the fastest Bollywood movie to cross Rs 650 crore mark worldwide and is inching fast towards Rs 700 crore.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is overwhelmed with the phenomenal response to Jawan. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter (now X), SRK tweeted, "Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan".
