Jawan Box Office Collection Day 9: Shah Rukh’s Film Defeats Gadar 2 On 2nd Friday To Create THIS Record

Shah Rukh Khan has all the reasons to be on cloud nine these days after all the year 2023 has been a successful one for him. After a stupendous start with Pathaan, now King Khan is enjoying the success of his recent release Jawan. The Atlee directorial was released on September 7 and opened to rave reviews from the audience. While Jawan was one of the most anticipated releases of the year, it was also facing comparison with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.

Yes! Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 has been one of the most successful releases of the year which has set several benchmarks at the box office. And while Gadar 2 enjoyed a free rule at the box office for almost a month, Jawan has been giving it a tough fight and is shattering records of the Sunny Deol starrer. As Jawan has begun its second week now, this SRK starrer has created another record at the box office.

Well, Jawan will reportedly be raking in around Rs 20.19 crore on its second Friday (day 9). While the office numbers will be out soon, if the reports turned out to be true, Jawan has managed to dethrone Sunny's Gadar 2 to make the record of the highest collection on the second Friday. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 reportedly made a collection of 20 crores on the second Friday.

Though it's a minor gap but Jawan is certainly holding its feet strong at the box office. Meanwhile, Jawan has also created another record today as it became the fastest Hindi film to cross Rs 400 crore at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan is having a total collection of Rs 408.27 crore at the box office.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is overwhelmed with the phenomenal response to Jawan. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter (now X), SRK tweeted, "Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan".
