Jawan Box Office Collection Day 3: SRK’s Film Beats Gadar 2 & Pathaan With Huge Margin, Creates A History

Shah Rukh Khan is all over the moon these days and rightfully so. After all, his recent release Jawan has been roaring loud at the box office across the nation. Helmed by Atlee, Jawan, also starring Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi etc., is touted to be a massy entertainer which has won millions of hearts and is doing wonders at the box office.
After a phenomenal opening of Rs 65 crore at the box office, Jawan is maintaining a strong hold at the box office now. In fact, as per a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan is set to witness a massive jump in the collection on day 3 of release as compared to day 2 earnings. While the movie minted around Rs 46.23 crores, it is likely to earn Rs 75 crore on day 3 of release.
Although the official numbers are yet to be out soon, if the reports are said to be true, it will take the movie's overall collection to Rs 203.23 crore. Interestingly, Jawan has managed to create a record at the box office as it has become the fastest film to enter the Rs 200 crore club (day 3). Earlier, the record was held by Pathaan which crossed the mark on day 4 of release.
This isn't all. Jawan has managed to beat Gadar 2 and Pathaan with a massive gap with its day 3 collection. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 had minted Rs 51.7 crore on its day 3 of release while Pathaan earned Rs 38 crore on day 3. On the other hand, Jawan is expected to make a collection of over Rs 200 crore in the opening weekend.
According to a report published in Bollywood Life, trade analyst and exhibitor Akshaye Rathi, stated, "We can expect Rs 60 crores from the Hindi belt on Saturday. Sunday could be around Rs 70 crores pan-India. If you add this with Rs 30 crores from overseas market, Jawan is well over Rs 200 crores. Also, the competition is not very high. There is only Warner Bros' Nun, which is a horror film". The media reports also suggest that Jawan is likely to witness a massive jump in collections during the weekend and is likely to cross the lifetime collections of Pathaan (Rs 525 crore) in the coming days.
