Jawan Box Office Collection Day 5: SRK’s Film Fails To Beat Gadar 2 Record Despite Crossing Rs 300Cr Mark

Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer Jawan has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Helmed by Atlee, the movie has been touted as a mass entertainer and has opened to rave reviews from the audience. Jawan witnessed a phenomenal start at the box office with a collection of Rs 65 crore.

Interestingly, Jawan has been roaring loud at the box office and had a phenomenal opening weekend. According to media reports, Jawan has raked in over Rs 280 crores at the box office. And now, on the fifth day of release, Jawan is set to create history by becoming the fastest movie to cross Rs 300 crore mark. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan will be clocking Rs 30 crores on day 5 of release which took the overall collection of Rs 316.56 crore.

Jawan Fails To Beat Gadar 2 Record

Despite entering the Rs 300 crore club, Jawan has failed to beat the record of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 earned Rs 38.7 crores on its first Monday while Jawan failed to cross its collection.

Meanwhile, Jawan has subsided Gadar 2 at the box office. The Anil Sharma directorial, which broke several record at the box office, has witnessed massive dip in the collections. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gadar 2 will fail to cross Rs 1 crore mark on day 32 (the fifth Monday of release). The movie is expected to rake in Rs 0.79 crore today.

Shah Rukh Khan Overwhelmed With Jawan Success

Shah Rukh Khan is overwhelmed with the phenomenal response to Jawan. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter (now X), SRK tweeted, "Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan".
