Jawan Box Office Day 6: SRK's Film Sees Dip In Occupancy on 1st Tuesday Amid IND vs SL; Fails To Beat Gadar 2

Shah Rukh Khan's recent release Jawan is all over the news these days and rightfully so. After all, it has been one of the most anticipated releases of 2023 and it has been doing wonders at the box office ever since it has hit the theatres. This Atlee directorial witnessed a thunderous start at the box office and emerged as the highest opener.
Besides, Jawan has managed to rake in an impressive number at the box office in the first week and broke several records including becoming the fastest movie to cross Rs 200cr, Rs 250cr and Rs 300cr marks at the box office. This isn't all. On its day 6 of release, Jawan is likely to create another record today by because it will be becoming the fastest movie to cross Rs 350 crore mark today (day 6).
And while Jawan is roaring loud at the box office, it has once again witnessed a dip in the footfalls in the theatre on its first Tuesday. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan saw an occupancy of 14.17% in the morning show, while the afternoon shows had an occupancy of 21.20%. While this drop is likely due to the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka match for the Asia Cup which is currently a hot topic of discussion in the town, Jawan has failed to beat Gadar 2 again.
For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 had an occupancy of 28.50% during morning shows on day 6 while the afternoon shows had a footfall of 55.44% which even saw a jump during evening and night shows.
Besides, Shah Rukh Khan has managed to create a new record at the box office. Yes! According to a report published in Sacnilk, Shah Rukh became the only Bollywood actor with the highest net collection at the Indian box office in a single year (Pathaan and Jawan)
