Jawan Box Office Collection Day 9: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film BEATS THIS Salman Khan Starrer During Second Week

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has been one of the biggest releases of the year and there are no second thoughts about it. It marked Shah Rukh's first collaboration with ace filmmaker Atlee along with south superstars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. From its teaser, prevue, trailer, songs and even the movie, everything about Jawan has been making headlines

The action drama witnessed a stupendous opening at the box office and it is maintaining a stronghold at the ticket windows with every passing day. Jawan has been creating new benchmarks and is giving a tough competition to other movies. And while Jawan has managed to become the fastest Hindi movie to cross the Rs 400 crore mark, did you know the box office witnessed a clash between the titans wherein Shah Rukh Khan managed to beat Salman Khan?

Yes! You read it right. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan will be raking in a collection of Rs 20.19 crores on day 9 (today) which will take the overall collection of the Atlee directorial to Rs 408.27 crores. Interestingly, Jawan has managed to beat the 9th day collection of Salman's 2015 release blockbuster film Bajrangi Bhaijaan which was made an earning of Rs 19.25 crore.

Interestingly, as Jawan has managed to enter the coveted Rs 400 crore club, it managed to beat two of the biggest releases of the year - Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan crossed the mark on the 12th day of release.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is overwhelmed with the phenomenal response to Jawan. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter (now X), SRK tweeted, "Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan".
