Jawan Box Office Collection Day 42: SRK’s Action Entertainer Remains Steady; To Cross 640Cr Soon

Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's first collaboration Jawan has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. Also starring Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Vijay Sethupahti in the lead, the movie has been a mass entertainer and had opened to rave reviews and a massive opening. In its journey of over 40 days, Jawan has shattered several records at the box office.

From becoming the highest opener of all times to becoming the highest grossing Hindi film, Jawan has certainly come a long way in its journy and has set new benchmarks. And despite competition from new releases, Jawan has been maintaining a strong hold at the box office and is inching close to a new milestone of Rs 640 crores.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan has witnessed a steady growth in the collection on the 6th Wednesday. It will reportedly mint Rs 70 lakhs today (day 42/sixth Wednesday) which will be taking the over all collections of the movie to Rs 638 crores. Given the impressive hold at the box office, Jawan is likely to cross Rs 640 crores mark soon.

Needless to say, Jawan's magic continues to win hearts in the 6th week as well and has become the fastest Hindi film to cross the mark. And given its strong hold at the box office, Jawan is likely to make new records at the box office in the coming days.

Given the phenomenal success of Jawan, there have been reports about a sequel to the movie. Reacting to the reports, Atlee told Pinkvilla, "Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day".
