Leo Hindi Box Office Office Collection Day 5: Vijay’s Film Beats Jailer With Huge Gap; Crosses 10Cr

Thalapathy Vijay has been one of the most successful actors in the country and is known for giving some of the biggest hits. And now, the renowned actor is making the headlines for his recent release Leo. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo marks Thalapathy Vijay's second collaboration with the ace filmmaker and is the recent entry in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

And though Leo has opened to average reviews, it has managed to rule the box office with phenomenal numbers. Post an impressive start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 64.8 crores, Leo has been maintaining a stronghold at the ticket windows. Also starring Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt, Leo was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.

Though Leo is soaring high in Tamil language, it has been comparatively quite slow in Hindi. And in the first five days of release, Leo has managed to cross Rs 10 crores mark in Hindi. According to Sacnilk, Leo has minted Rs 1.84 crores in Hindi on day 5 (first Monday).

While Leo continues its impressive journey, Leo has managed to beat Rajinikanth's Jailer with a huge gap. For the uninitiated, Jailer had failed to rake in even 2 crores in Hindi in 5 days of release. In fact, Jailer had minted Rs 20 lakhs on day 5. It is evident that Leo is continuing its winning run at the box office and is likely to cross more milestones in the coming days including the Rs 250 crores mark which the movie will be crossing tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Leo has already created history by becoming the fastest movie to cross Rs 100 crores in Tamil Nadu. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club in TN within just 3 days of release. Interestingly, Leo has managed to beat Ponniyin Selvan 1 which earlier held the record of crossing Rs 100 crores in 5 days of release.

Earlier, talking about this much anticipated Thalapthy Vijay starrer action thriller, Lokesh Kanagraj said, "Leo is a very special film for me. I have tried something experimental. I have no words to describe the amount of work that Vijay anna put in for this movie. And I am eager to show everything to the audience".
