Leo Hindi Ticket Booking Day 1: Thalapathy Vijay Actioner Set For Sensational Opening As It Sells This Much

Leo Hindi Ticket Booking Day 1

Leo Hindi Ticket Booking Day 1: Headlined by Thalapathy Vijay, "Leo" is just a day away from its grand release. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller film is one of the highly anticipated Tamil films of the year and is finally hitting the screen on Thursday, October 19.

As it will be a celebration for Vijay's fans tomorrow, Leo has already made Rs 100 crore in advance booking sales before its release across the country. Meanwhile, it is poised to create a rampage at the box office, especially in Tamil Nadu, as no other film is clashing with Leo.

Leo Hindi ticket booking day 1

Given Vijay's stardom and Lokesh's direction, violence-filled action-packed entertainer, Leo, ever since its advance booking was opened in India, the film is putting up staggering numbers, has already surpassed Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, and is expected to beat Jawan's closing collection as well.

Leo marks Lokesh and Vijay's reunion after Master, and Vijay and Trisha's reunion after so many years. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt is making his Kollywood debut. With such biggies starring together, the excitement surrounding the film is sky high.

Madness for the film in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka states is obvious, as Vijay's stardom has a stronghold there, but Leo has quite a good buzz in the Telugu and Hindi belts as well. Leo's Hindi version is not released in national cinema chains in northern regions.

As of Wednesday, Leo has sold over 50k tickets. A box office tracker and influencer page named George shared the information and wrote, "JUST IN: #LeoHindi has sold over 50000 tickets for Day 1 even without National Multiplexes. #Leo #ThalapathyVijay."

In another update, it stated, "#Leo Hindi sold 1K tickets in Rajhans Cinemas. The final number can be close to 2K which will be close to Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. IMPRESSIVE!"

Outperforming Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan," which was released the previous month, "Leo" now holds the record for the highest number of advance ticket sales for a Hindi version in India. "Jawan" had sold 15.75 lakh tickets in advance for its opening day, while the Tamil and Telugu versions had sold 13.75 lakh and 2.10 lakh tickets, respectively.

However, it still is behind "Jawan" in terms of collection, as Leo has earned Rs 31 crore so far, while SRK's film secured ₹41 crore via advance booking. This is because of the ticket price difference between both films. The average ticket price for Jawan on the opening day was Rs 251, whereas for Leo's it is Rs 202.

About Leo

Co-written by Rathna Kumar, Deeraj Vaidy, and Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, and Priya Anand in pivotal roles.

The film's synopsis read, "Parthiban "Parthi" is a chocolatier who gets targeted by gangsters Antony and Harold Das as they suspect him to be their estranged younger brother Leo Das."
