Mission Raniganj Box Office Collection Day 4 Prediction: Akshay’s Film To See Lowest Number; Fails Monday Test

Akshay Kumar grabbed the eyeballs ever since he was roped in to play the lead role in Tinu Suresh Desai directorial Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue. He was seen playing the role of Jaswant Singh Gill, a mining engineer, who rescued 65 trapped miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. The movie also features Parineeti Chopra in the lead and has opened to mixed reviews.

And while Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue has been going slow but steady at the box office, the movie seems to be having a tough time post the opening weekend. Yes! As per the recent media reports, Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue has been struggling on its first Monday and saw a massive dip of around 67% in the collection.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue is likely to make a collection of Rs 1.57 crores on its first Monday. To note, this happens to be the lowest collection ever for Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue. If the reports turned out to be true, the overall collection of this Tinu Suresh Desai directorial will not stand at Rs 13.7 crores.

Interestingly, Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue witnessed a box office clash with Rhea Kapoor's production Thank You For Coming starring Shehnaaz Gill, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor, Karan Kundrra, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh.

It will be interesting to see how both films will fare in the coming days. Meanwhile, talking about Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, Akshay, while addressing the students of IIT Dhanbad in a virtual interaction, stated, "Jaswant Gill's real-life story is truly inspiring and encouraging. Similarly, 'Padman' also showcased the inspiring journey of a visionary. They don't make people like them anymore. As an actor, I really love working on such inspirational stories that need to be told. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to speak to Jaswantji on call when he was alive. He was so humble, simple, and down to earth that it was genuinely an honor talking to him".
