OMG 2 Collection Day 9 Prediction: Though Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 may not have done amazing business at the box office like Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, it is still holding quite well.

Its earnings have slowed down over the past few days, but it has managed to register Rs 91 crore nett in India. With OMG 2, Kumar also breaks his five consecutive flops dry spell.

Amid tough competition in the South and Hindi regions, OMG 2 has managed to remain afloat. The sequel to the hit 2012 movie of the same name, Oh My God, or OMG 2, has done decent business at the Indian box office.

The film was released on August 11 and made ₹10.26 crore nett in India. It added Rs 15.3 crore on day 2, Rs 17.55 crore on day 3, Rs 12.06 crore on day 4, Rs 17.1 crore on day 5, and its lowest, Rs 7.2 crore, on day 6, respectively.

On Friday, day 8, OMG 2 did a business of ₹5.6 crore. Taking its collection to around 91.08 crore nett at the domestic box office.

On Saturday, day 9, OMG 2 is expected to see huge growth by adding 9 crore to its collection, taking its overall collection to Rs 100.08 crore, a report by trade website Sacnilk stated.

It is said to have an overall 39.03% Hindi occupancy on Saturday. With this, OMG 2's worldwide collection will go up to Rs 129.

Akshay Kumar's last few movies were duds at the box office. His first post-pandemic release, Sooryavanshi (2021), was his last hit movie that made Rs. 318 crore gross worldwide. After that, all his releases, including Bachchan Paandey (2022), Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, and Selfiee, did miserable business.

Helmed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 features Akshay Kumar as the messenger of Lord Shiva. It also features Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil of Ramayan fame.

The satirical comedy-drama revolves around Pankaj Tripathi's character, who plays Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a Shiva devotee who sues the educational system for suspending his child. It also touches on taboo topics such as s*x education and teenage maturation.
