Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani BO Collection Day 3: "Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" marked filmmaker Karan Johar's return as a director after a long hiatus of seven years. Starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the film opened to decent numbers on July 28.

Also starring veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, RARKPK, after a low earring of Rs 11 crore on day 1, has seen a solid jump during the weekend and looks like positive reviews are working in favour of the film, as it is witnessing a huge footfall of audience.

"Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" during the weekend has seen a massive upward trend. The film has been the talk of the town since its announcement. Billed as a Bollywood family masala movie, RARKPK on day 3 minted Rs 19 crore at the box office, which is a surge from Rs 16.05 crore on day 2.

With this, the film's total figure now stands at Rs 46 crore. If it remains steady on Monday, the rom-com will easily cross the 50 crore milestone on day 4 itself.

About Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

The film revolves around Rocky (Ranveer Singh) and Rani (Alia), who hail from completely contrasting backgrounds and cultures. Rocky is a fitness enthusiast who belongs to a Punjabi family, while Alia's character, Rani, is a journalist from an intellectual Bengali household.

Ahead of the film's release, Ranveer talked in an interview about working with legendary actor Dharmendra and said, "When someone said 'roll camera', that was when it hit me that 'Oh my God! It is Dharmendra'. I had to collect myself quickly and perform. It was a surreal moment for me, sharing the screen space with such a legend. I was almost tongue-tied and froze."
