Dunki vs Salaar Box Office Collection 1st Tuesday: SRK’s Film BEATS Prabhas’ Starrer; Here’s What Stats Say

As the year is coming to an end, the Indian box office witnessed a major clash at the ticket windows. We are talking about the clash between Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas starrer Salaar. Both the movies have been among the most anticipated releases of the year and were expected to set the box office on fire. For the uninitiated, Salaar is an action thriller helmed by Prashanth Neel while Dunki, which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is based on the eponymous illegal immigration technique.

While Salaar started on a grand note with an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores in all languages combined, Dunki witnessed a decent start at Rs 29.2 crores. And while Salaar and Dunki are set to complete a week of release, fans are curious to know who is leading among Shah Rukh and Prabhas at the box office. To note, both Salaar and Dunki had a decent Christmas at the box office.

However, the first Tuesday came with a significant drop in collections for both Salaar and Dunki. While the Rajkumar Hirani directorial minted Rs 10 crores on its first Tuesday, Salaar made a collection of Rs 24.9 crores overall and earned Rs 9.1 crores in the Hindi version. It is evident that Dunki is leading in the Hindi market and has managed to beat Salaar on the first Tuesday.

Interestingly, Salaar has been unstoppable in the international market as well and managed to cross Rs 400 crores mark worldwide in four days and minted Rs 450.06 crores. In fact, as per a tweet shared by Manobala Vijayabalan, Salaar will be entering the coveted Rs 500 crores worldwide today (day 6). To note, Salaar will mark Prabhas' third entry in the coveted Rs 500 crores club worldwide after Baahubali and Baahubali 2.
