Satyaprem Ki Katha Day 1 Box Office Collection Prediction: Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the upcoming romantic drama Satyaprem Ki Katha. This will be Kiara and Kartik's second collaboration after the 2022 blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Helmed by Sameer Vidwans and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala with Namah Pictures, Satyaprem Ki Katha has all the elements to make it a super winner at the box office. Going by the high hopes, the film has a positive buzz amongst audiences, and with no major releases, the rom-com seems to have an upper hand at the theatres.
Meanwhile, as per reports, the film has sold around 20,000 tickets, which indicates that it is all set to have a bumper opening on its release date. But can the lead actors's stardom and charm work in favour of the fate of the film? Let's find out!
How does the film's box office scenario appear?
Speaking to Filmibeat in an exclusive chat, producer and film business expert Girish Johar discussed a few points about what makes Satyaprem Ki Katha a pure entertainer. Talking about what the film's box office reception looks like, Mr. Johar said, "The traction of the film is quite good."
He added, "Songs have obviously done fantastically, and the visuals are also very good. And Kiara and Karthik are a lovely pair, and they're looking very good on screen also."
"In a nutshell, the promotions and the awareness levels are quite good for the film. So I'm expecting a good start at the box office," he shared.
Will Kartik and Kiara recreate the same magic as in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2?
Speaking about Kiara and Kartik's on-screen chemistry, Mr. Johar said, "Obviously, the magic of them coming together will definitely be recreated. I hope that the film receives a very good start as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2."
What will the opening day box office numbers look like?
Pointing out that the box office is dynamic, Mr Johar said, "If the film is not up to the mark, it can come crashing down. Numerous examples are there. If the film is good and appreciated by the audiences, the numbers, whatever we expect or project, can also double up. So, having said that, I expect the film to rake in around seven to eight crores to start on Thursday."
Citing the example of 1920: Horrors of the Heart, which performed really well considering its low budget, he also added that if the word-of-mouth is good, the film will have a longer run at the box office.
Will Kartik Aaryan's fan following turn out well for the film?
Furthermore, adding that Satyaprem Ki Katha has all the essential ingredients to do well at the box office, Mr Johar expressed, "Kartik's opening figures stand at par with any well-established star of today's time. I really hope it is a star at the box office. If a film like Shehzada, which was not liked by the audiences, was able to collect six crores on its first day, then I am expecting a good start."
He further added that Kartik has been consistently giving good numbers, and the audiences are liking whatever he's doing on screen.
Satyaprem Ki Katha, which has a running time of 2 hours and 26 minutes, will be released on Thursday, which is Bakrid holiday. It also stars Rajpal Yadav, Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak, and Shikha Talsania in key roles.
