Satyaprem Ki Katha opened to impressive 'above expectations' box office numbers and the film continued to garner love from the viewers on Day 2. As per early trends, a report in industry insider, Sacnilk suggests that the Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer minted 7.20 Cr net on the domestic ticket window on the second day of its release. The film had an overall 14.31% Hindi Occupancy on Friday.

The drop was expected considering the working Friday after a holiday. Interestingly, the film is expected to bounce back at the box office and see a jump in the business on Saturday and Sunday. The film is expected to perform in the long run considering the positive word of mouth of the target audience.

Satyaprem Ki Katha made a collection of 9.25 Cr. Trade expert Taran Adarsh shared the box office numbers and tweeted, "#SatyaPremKiKatha puts up a healthy score on Day 1 [holiday]... Gathered speed during the course of the day, after an ordinary start in the morning shows... Evening shows, expectedly, saw very good occupancies due to glowing WOM... Thu ₹ 9.25 cr. #India biz."

He further added, "Emerges #KartikAaryan's third biggest opening day, after #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 and #LoveAajKal. Going forward, the numbers may decline on Day 2 [Fri], since it's a working day, but Day 3 and 4 [Sat-Sun] hold the key... If its target audience - families - patronise the content, a strong weekend number cannot be ruled out. #Boxoffice."
