lower

Though
we
have
to
wait
for
the
film's
day

office
collection,
as
per
early
estimates,
Selfiee
may
make
around
Rs
10
crore
on
Friday.
According
to
a
report
in
Cine
Reveal,
Kumar's
Selfiee,
with
its
first
day
of
advance
booking,
has
already
minted
Rs
73.76
lakh.
Selfiee
has
reportedly
sold
around
34122
tickets
so
far.
Given
Akshay
Kumar's
stature
and
value,
the
numbers
do
seem
really
disappointing.
The
film
has
been
produced
by
multiple
houses
like
Dharma
Productions
and
Magic
Frames,
Prithviraj
Productions,
Cape
of
Good
Films,
and
Star
Studios.
On
the
other
hand,
it
premiered
on
limited
screens
in
2000,
and
its
release
size
is
targeted
across
metropolises
as
there
is
less
buzz
in
smaller
centers.
Meanwhile,
Selfiee
also
faces
huge
competition
from
Shah
Rukh
Khan's
Pathaan,
which
is
still
running
successfully
in
theaters.
They
may
also
have
to
struggle,
as
Kartik
Aaryan
and
Kriti
Sanon's
Shehzada,
which
opened
in
theatres
last
week,
may
still
have
a
chance
with
the
audience
if
Selfiee
doesn't
get
a
positive
response.
