WOW! Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan TOPPLES Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 To Become The Highest Grossing Hindi Movie

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan created a storm across borders with his comeback movie Pathaan. The spy thriller movie, directed by Sidharth Anand and starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, was released on January 25 and has been successfully running in theatres even after over a month. The film broke several records by surpassing some of the most blockbuster movies' box-office records and registering itself in the list of fastest Hindi flicks to enter Rs 1000 crore in the first phase of its release.

PATHAAN SURPASSES BAAHUBALI 2 REECORD

Star director SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 created a mammoth record at the box-office in 2017. No movie since then has been able to triumph over the film's record. It looked like no actor could ever break the record set by Baahubali, but our King Khan has finally done it. Shah Rukh Khan's high-octane actioner took the cinemas by storm and now has dethroned Baahubali 2's Hindi box-office record. Baahubali 2 hindi version made a staggering lifetime collection of Rs 510.99 crore in just 28 days, and it was the first and only film to enter the 500 crore club.

Meanwhile, Pathan marked SRK's silver screen return after four years and became the fastest grosser to enter the 500 club. Though official figures are awaited, Pathaan is believed to have reached Baahubali's record on its 37th day, on March 2. As per a report by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Pathaan will topple Baahubali's record on its 38th day, as it earned Rs 510 crore on Thursday. Take a look at Taran Adarsh's tweet.

Pathaan's Tamil and Telugu versions have made a combined total of Rs 18.24 crore, with which the movie's overall collection comes to ₹ 528.29 crore. Therefore, Pathaan is Bollywood's highest-earning film ever. It is followed by Baahubali 2, the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 2, and Aamir Khan's Dangal.
