Sukhee Box Office Collection Day 1: Shilpa’s Film Struggles To Make 1Cr Amid Clash With TGIF & Jawan Wave

After creating an immense buzz in the town, Shilpa Shetty starrer Sukhee has finally hit the theatres. Helmed by Sonal Joshi, the movie is a slice of life story which also stars Amit Sadh, Kusha Kapila and Pavleen Gujral in the lead and it has opened to mixed reviews from the audience.

Interestingly, Sukhee has been witnessing a massive competition from Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar starrer The Great Indian Family and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. Given the immense competition, Sukhee has been struggling at the box office on the first day itself and failed to make it even Rs 1 crore at the box office.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, the Shilpa Shetty starrer will be making a collection of Rs 50 lakhs today (day 1). It is evident that it is the result of the clash with The Great Indian Family which started on a decent note at the box office. Besides, the ongoing Jawan wave, which has set the box office on fire, has also affected Sukhee's collection.

Meanwhile, debutant director Sonal Joshi has been all praises for Shilpa Shetty Kundra. During one of her interviews, Sonal stated, "I was nervous because I was going to work with a star. She is such a senior actor and has been in the industry for 30 years now and it's my first feature film. So, obviously, there was a little nervousness but anyone who has met Shilpa ma'am knows how she is. Her personality is so positive, she is so full of warmth and love. She will crack jokes and break the ice and everybody becomes comfortable. I think that helped me a lot to be myself in front of her to be able to convey what I want from the film, script, the character and be able to explain to her what my vision is. So, all of that the way she behaved with me really made me comfortable and eventually, once we started working on the film it was amazing. It was a great working experience and collaboration and hats off for her commitment and dedication towards the film".
