Tejas Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Kangana Ranaut’s Film To Have A Slow Start Despite Good Reviews

Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas has been one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara, the movie happens to be Bollywood's first aerial action thriller. Tejas features Kangana Ranaut playing the role of an Indian Air Force pilot and she has been grabbing eyeballs with her impressive stint. And while Tejas has been released amid much fanfare, the movie has opened to mixed reviews from the audience.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Tejas will be having a slow start at the box office and will be seen struggling to rake in Rs 1 crore on its day of release. Reportedly, Tejas will be minting Rs 75 lakhs today (day 1/ first Friday). To note, Tejas happens to be Kangana's fourth movie after the pandemic which failed to clock Rs 1 crore on the opening day.
For the uninitiated, Kangana had three releases post the pandemic - Thalaivii (25 lakhs), Dhaakad (65 lakhs) and Chandramukhi 2 (18 lakhs). It will be interesting to see how Tejas will be performing in the coming days. Interestingly, Tejas will be witnessing a box office clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer Ganapath A Hero Is Born.
Meanwhile, talking about Tejas, director Sarvesh Mewara got candid about the film and told the Times of India, "I always call Tejas an emotional action film. Because at the core of this aerial action is heavy emotions. There's his love angle that is also there in the film, there is a family element. You can expect 10 times the dialogues from the trailer in the movie. When I narrated the script to Kangana, she was teary eyed and whoever has heard and seen the film has said that it is an emotional entertainer. So that is what is unique about Tejas. I'm an emotional person and I look for emotions in a story and Tejas is that".
