Tejas Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Kangana’s Film Witnesses 18% Growth; Fails To Beat 12th Fail

Kangana Ranaut is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, her much anticipated aerial action thriller drama Tejas has finally hit the screens. Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara, the movie features Kangana donning the uniform for the first time as she plays the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. Tejas has opened to mixed reviews from the audience and there have been speculations about the movie's box office collections

For the uninitiated, Tejas witnessed a box office clash with Vikrant Massey's 12th Fail which is helmed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. To note, 12th Fail is based on the novel of the same name by Anurag Pathak and has opened to decent reviews from the audience. It is going to be an interesting competition.

After a slow start at the box office, Tejas will reportedly be witnessing slight growth in collections. According to a report published in Sacnilk, this Kangana Ranaut starrer will be minting Rs 1.50 crores today (day 2/second Saturday) which will take the overall collection of the movie to Rs 2.75 crores.

On the other hand, while Vikrant's 12th Fail opened with a collection of Rs 1 crore, will be seeing a decent growth and will reportedly earn Rs 1.75 crores on the second day of release and will have an overall collection of Rs 2.75 crores.

Meanwhile, talking about Tejas, director Sarvesh Mewara got candid about the film and told the Times of India, "I always call Tejas an emotional action film. Because at the core of this aerial action is heavy emotions. There's his love angle that is also there in the film, there is a family element. You can expect 10 times the dialogues from the trailer in the movie. When I narrated the script to Kangana, she was teary eyed and whoever has heard and seen the film has said that it is an emotional entertainer. So that is what is unique about Tejas. I'm an emotional person and I look for emotions in a story and Tejas is that".
