Tiger 3 Box Office Collection Day 3: Salman Khan Creates History As Spy Thriller Crosses 100 Crores Mark

Salman Khan has been one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood and there are no second thoughts about it. The superstar has given several box office hits over the years and his performance in the Tiger spy thriller franchise has been considered quite iconic. And after a disappointing start at the box office, Salman is now making headlines for his recent release Tiger 3.

Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the espionage thriller is the third installment of the Tiger franchise (after Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai). Tiger 3 has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and has been grabbing the eyeballs ever since it was announced. In fact, it has witnessed an impressive start at the box office with the first day collection of Rs 44.5 crores which became Salman's highest opener ever.

To note, Tiger 3 has raked in Rs 59 crores on the second day of release which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 103.5 crores. Interestingly, Tiger 3 has not just become the third fastest Hindi film to cross the Rs 100 crores mark. But this isn't all. Salman has managed to create a history today. Yes! With Tiger 3 crossing Rs 100 crores mark on day 2 of release, it has become Salman's 17th consecutive film to enter the coveted club.

It is worth a mention that Salman has the highest 100 crores club movies to his name followed by Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan respectively.

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 has been doing wonders at the worldwide box office as well. Given Tiger 3's strong hold at the box office, the espionage thriller is likely to cross Rs 200 crores at the worldwide box office today.
