Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar day 2 box office collection: The fresh pairing of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor has taken off to a good start at the box office and is said to have performed well on its first day of release. The film has largely opened to positive reviews, with Ranbir Kapoor's performance being praised. As the word of mouth for the film is good, people are thronging to the cinema halls in large numbers for the film. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the rom-com generated a lot of buzz before its release, and initial reports suggest that it had a promising first day at the box office.

As per early estimates, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has raked in Rs 15 crore, which has come as a relief for Bollywood after shameful flops like Shehzada and Selfiee. Meanwhile, the rom-com has also emerged as the second-highest Day 1 grosser of 2023, after SRK's Pathaan. As per Sacnilk, TJMM has earned Rs 15.73 crores in India net. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the first day business of TJMM and said the film has made Rs 7.85 crore across national chains, whereas Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada earned Rs 2.92 crore and Akshay Kumar's Selfiee had made Rs 1.30 crore on its day 1. Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan remains on top with Rs 27.08 crore on its debut day.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had a 22.42 percent occupancy on its opening day. According to a report by Box Office India, "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has done well on day one with collections around the 14 crore nett mark. The film has been helped by Holi in many states but it has also lost some business due to Holi one day early in some states. The collections of the film would have gone towards 16 crore nett if it was a normal Holi which makes it look better on paper though it hardly makes any difference because if the audience is with film the shortfall is easily made up in the long run."

As per a report by Sacnilk, Ranbir Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar may rake in around 10 crore in India nett on its second day, which means the film's total collection including Wednesday (Rs 15.73 cr) and Thursday (Rs 10 cr) will come up to Rs 25.73 crore. TJMM has kicked off on a smashing note at the box office. However, all eyes will now be on the extended weekend collection of the film, which is crucial. TJMM also stars Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, and stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi, who makes his TJMM debut.
