Shraddha
Kapoor's
latest
outing,
Tu
Jhoothi
Main
Makkaar,
has
been
making
headlines
since
its
release.
The
rom-com,
directed
by
Luv
Ranjan,
has
impressed
audiences,
especially
with
its
quirky
dialogue
and
the
sizzling
chemistry
between
the
lead
actors.
Ranbir
and
Shraddha's
fresh
pairing
has
also
helped
the
film
gain
significant
attention
from
moviegoers,
while
Holi
(March
8)
has
also
helped
the
film's
business
start
on
a
positive
note
at
the

DAY
2
COLLECTION
The
most-awaited
rom-com
registered
the
second-highest
opening
for
a
Bollywood
film
in
2023
after
Shah
Rukh
Khan's
Pathaan.
On
its
day
2,
TJMM
has
earned
only
Rs
10
crore,
which
is
Rs
5
crore
less
than
its
previous
day's
collection.
The
film,
which
got
off
to
a
great
start,
has
not
grown
as
much
as
expected.
The
film
had
added
Rs
15
crore
on
its
day
1,
which
brought
the
total
collection
to
Rs
25.73
crore.
The
film
had
an
overall
occupancy
of
11.46
percent
on
March
9.

DAY

COLLECTION
However,
it
is
reported
that
Tu
Jhoothi
Main
Makkaar
may
pick
up
business
over
the
weekend.
As
per
industry
tracking
website
Sacnilk,
TJMM
on
its
third
day
might
earn
up
to
Rs
11
crore
net
in
India,
while
the
film
has
made
Rs
22.1
cr
worldwide
business.
Adding
the
total
figures
so
far,
TJMM's
revenue
on
its
third
day
will
stand
at
Rs
35.51
crore.
Meanwhile,
according
to
a
report
by
Box
Office
India,
"Tu
Jhoothi
Main
Makkaar
just
about
stayed
above
water
on
day
two
as
it
dropped
around
35%.
This
drop
would
have
been
pretty
good
if
the
Holi
was
a
full
out
Holiday
and
the
benefit
of
Holi
was
across
the
board
but
with
a
partial
holiday
the
drop
is
on
the
higher
side.
The
bigger
issue
is
the
film
only
has
23
crore
nett
up
on
the
board
over
the
two
day
holiday
period
so
there
is
a
lot
of
work
to
do
and
it
becomes
a
must
for
the
film
to
be
up
on
Friday
which
should
happen
in
cities
but
mass
could
see
further
drops
as
the
Holi
factor
dies."
