Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Day 4 Box Office Collection: Here's How Much Ranbir-Shraddha's Film Has Earned

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Day 4 Box Office Collection: Amid huge buzz and expectations, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's romantic comedy finally released on the occasion of Holi (March 8) after a long wait.

Directed by Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame Luv Ranjan, the film marks Ranbir and Shraddha's first outing on the big screen and the trailer left everyone excited to watch it on the silver screen.

As expected, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had a good start at the box office despite Holi festivities and the film collected Rs 15.73 crore on Wednesday. As the second day was a working Thursday, the rom-com witnessed a dip of 34.27% after a holiday release and did a business of Rs 10.34 crore. Since then, the film has been underperforming.

On the third day of its release, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar saw a slight jump at the ticket window but the hike wasn't expected. On Friday, it collected Rs 10.52 crore, taking its three-day total to Rs 36.59 crore. While the film is having a decent occupancy at national chains, it is underperforming in mass circuits.

Revealing the same, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "#TuJhoothiMainMakkaar is up at national chains, but down in mass circuits on Day 3... #Mumbai - #Maharashtra as well as mass pockets need to come on board on Sat - Sun for a strong weekend total... Wed 15.73 cr, Thu 10.34 cr, Fri 10.52 cr. Total: ₹ 36.59 cr. #India biz. #TJMM"

Everyone was expecting the film to witness a considerable jump on Saturday (March 11), however, looks like it is going to underperform once again. As per the industry tracking website Sacnilk, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is likely to do a business of around Rs 15 crore on Day 4. While official figures are still awaited, it'll be interesting to see if Ranbir's last romantic comedy will witness a huge jump on Sunday or not.

ABOUT TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar marks Luv Ranjan's directorial comeback after a gap of five years. His last release was the super successful Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which was released in 2018.

Ranbir and Shraddha's film reportedly tells the story of two individuals Tina and Rahul who fell in live with each other. However, Tini later gets to know that she couldn't be with him.
