Zwigato Box Office Day 2 Collection: Kapil Sharma’s Film Disappoints Again, Fails To Witness BIG Jump

Zwigato Day 2 Box Office Collection: Amid decent buzz and expectations, Nandita Das' slice-of-the-life drama Zwigato finally got released in the theatres on March 17. Featuring comedian Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami in the lead roles, the film revolves around a delivery guy and tells the story of the relentlessness of life.

After Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015) and Firangi (2017), Zwigato is the third theatrical release featuring Kapil Sharma as the protagonist. Known for his perfect comic timing, the film features him in a never-seen-before dramatic avatar.

As expected, Zwigato has been getting a favourable response from critics as well as fans with Kapil getting appreciation for his performance. While it was never meant to open big, the film opened lower than expected and earned less than a crore on the day of its release.

ZWIGATO BOX OFFICE OPENING DAY COLLECTION

On Friday, Zwigato underperformed and turned out to be a big disappointment at the ticket window. It earned just Rs 0.40 crore on the first day. The film is facing stiff competition from Rani Mukerji's Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway and Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

While everyone was expecting that Zwigato might witness a decent jump on Saturday, looks like that is not going to happen. The movie is expected to earn around 0.50 cr on Saturday. However, official figures are still awaited.

For the unversed, Zwigato had a focused and targeted premiere as the makers released in just 409 screens across India. Well, we just hope that the film jumps big time on Sunday.

After a disappointing performance on Friday and Saturday, the footfalls need to multiply on Sunday for Zwigato to reach a healthy total. Now, it'll be interesting to see how the film performs at the ticket window tomorrow.
