Animal Box Office Day 35: Ranbir’s Film Struggle To Make 50 Lakhs; Will It Cross 550Cr During 6th Weekend?

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's recent directorial Animal has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. After all, it brought together an interesting ensemble of cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Bobby Deol and has been touted to be a gory action drama. Animal opened to rave reviews from the audience and had managed to set the box office fire by emerging as the second highest grossing film of 2023.

Needless to say, Animal has registered several records in its name and has become Ranbir's highest grossing film ever. And now as Animal is approaching its sixth weekend, Animal is still creating a buzz at the box office. To note, after witnessing a significant growth during the New Year celebrations, Animal is now seeing a continuous drop in collections as it is heading towards its new milestone.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Animal made a collection of Rs 64 lakhs on day 33 (fifth Tuesday) and raked in Rs 50 lakhs on day 34 (fifth Wednesday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 547.52 crores. Given the trend, the action drama is expected to mint Rs 45-50 lakhs today (fifth Thursday) and is likely to cross Rs 548 crores today. It will be interesting to see if Animal will cross Rs 550 crores mark during the sixth weekend.

Meanwhile, talking about Animal's box office success, Sandeep Reddy Vanga told IndiaToday.in, "I was expecting the film to do well, I knew it would do 600 crores to 700 crores but wasn't expecting these huge numbers. It has already crossed the 800 crores mark, which was a surprise for me and I am very happy with the collection. Even with the reviews, the film has done great numbers at the box office and as a filmmaker, I am happy."
