Article 370 Box Office Collection Day 8: Yami’s Film To Stay Solid Despite New Releases; Inches Towards 40Cr

Yami Gautam has been all over the headlines courtesy of her recent release Article 370. Helmed by Aditya Jambhale, the movie also Priyamani, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in key roles and revolves around the controversial 2019 abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir
After creating immense buzz in the town, Article 370 has opened to decent reviews from the audience and critics and has managed to create ripples at the box office. With an opening day collection of Rs 5.9 crores, Article 370 managed to have an impressive opening weekend at the box office. Although it did see a massive drop on the first Monday, Article 370 has managed to hold a steady ground at the box office ever since.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Article 370 has managed to rake in Rs 3 crores yesterday (day 7/ first Thursday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 35.60 crores. Given the ongoing trend, Article 370 continues to stay strong ahead of the second weekend and is likely to mint Rs 2.5-3 crores and will be inching close to Rs 40 crores today (day 8/ second Friday).
Meanwhile, Yami Gautam is quite elated with the audience's response to Article 370. In a heartfelt social media post, the actress wrote, "When we were making Article 370, so many people told us that this film won't work with the audience, 'it's too technical, too many political jargons etc etc'. But we went ahead with our gut because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience. Thank you all for proving them absolutely wrong. Thank you so much for giving so much love to our small little film, with a big heart. We are humbled and will remain forever grateful to all of you. Dhanyawaad! Jai Hind!".
