Talking about Auron Mein Kahan Dum The box office collection, producer and film business expert Girish Johar exclusively told Filmibeat, "It is one of the most fascinating film which is surprisingly not trending quite well. I somehow get the feeling that the makers have tried to make it below the radar because I believe Neeraj Pandey, Ajay Devgn and Tabu are three aces of the film. And I believe nothing short of solid excitement when the three of them come together. All three are powerhouses of talent. So, if the film is below radar, there is a possibility that the makers have kept it below the radar and some pleasant surprise or shock element is there in the film which the audience will watch it and then it will help in a solid word of mouth. When it has acting prowess of Ajay and Tabu backing with Neeraj Pandey, it could have a solid weekend a solid run at the box office. Yes, presently the traction is quite low. As it has a wide range of expectations, I would be happy if the film opens between Rs 3-4 cr. If the word of mouth is picked up by the evening it can touch Rs 5cr also.

While the official numbers are yet to be out, if the reports turned out to be true, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will beat Akshay Kumar's Sarfira on the first day of release. To note, Sarfira had raked an opening day collection of Rs 2.5 crores at the box office.

Meanwhile, talking about the lead pair, director Neeraj Pandey told News18, "Two years back, when we were figuring out our next theatrical release, the germ of this film came to me. It was there in some form in my head before that but I didn't actually sit down and write about it till two years ago. And Ajay and Tabu were my first choices. Having said that, I don't know if it's their friendship that translated onscreen because I know nothing about its background"
