After witnessing a stupendous start of the year with Shaitaan and winning hearts with an impressive performance in Maidaan, Ajay is here with Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha which has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Also starring Tabu, Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar in the lead, the romantic thriller is helmed by Neeraj Pandey.

Despite the massive buzz, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has failed to make the box office ring.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha made an opening day collection of Rs 2.1 crores. Given the ongoing trends, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is likely to see a good growth at the box office today (day 2/ first Saturday) and might reach Rs 5 crores mark. Interestingly, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has been witnessing a box office clash with Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah's Ulajh, it will be interesting to see who will win the box office race.

Meanwhile, talking about the lead pair, director Neeraj Pandey told News18, "Two years back, when we were figuring out our next theatrical release, the germ of this film came to me. It was there in some form in my head before that but I didn't actually sit down and write about it till two years ago. And Ajay and Tabu were my first choices. Having said that, I don't know if it's their friendship that translated onscreen because I know nothing about its background"
