Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha vs Ulajh Box Office Collection Week 1: The month of August seems to be a month of box office clashes and there are no second thoughts about it. As everyone is eagerly waiting for the Independence Day clash, the box office recently saw a clash between Ajay Devgn and Tannu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Than and Janhvi Kapoor's Ulajh. Both the movies hit the screens on August 2 and managed to create substantial buzz in the town despite their different genres.

While Ulajh is a spy thriller, Auron Me Kahan Dum Tha happens to be a romantic thriller. It was indeed a close competition and there have been speculations about which film will emerge as a winner at the box office. Interestingly, Ulajh saw a slow start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 1.15 crores. On the other hand, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha raked in Rs 1.85 crores on its day of release. As both the movie opened to mixed reviews, Ajay's romantic thriller maintained the lead over Ulajh throughout the first week.

To note, both Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha have managed to complete a week of release now. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Ulajh raked in Rs 47 lakhs yesterday (day 7/ first Thursday) which took the movie's first week collection to Rs 7.22 crores. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, on the other hand, minted Rs 64 lakhs yesterday (day 7/ first Thursday) taking the first week collections of the movie to Rs 10.09 crores. It is evident that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has emerged as the clear box office winner in the week 1.

Interestingly, Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will be witnessing another competition from Urvashi Rautela's recent release Ghuspaithiya. It will be interesting to see if Janhvi's film and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will continue to have a hold at the box office in the week 2.
