Baby John Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction: Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh's first collaboration Baby John has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. After all, the movie has been the official Bollywood remake of Thalapathy Vijay's 2016 release Theri and also features Jackie Shroff and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead. To note, Baby John has been an action drama and the trailer has managed to grab a lot of eyeballs with its plotline and stellar cast.

While it was a treat to watch Varun and Keerthy in one frame, Jackie's performance as a lead antagonist left everyone in absolute awe. This isn't all. The peppy tracks also made Baby John the talk of the town and fans were quite excited to watch Varun wearing the uniform for the second time onscreen after Dishoom. However, despite the massive buzz, Baby John has failed to set the box office on fire and has been struggling in the first week itself.

The opening weekend came with a slight hike in numbers for Baby John. The movie minted Rs 4.25 crores on day 4 (first Saturday) which was followed by a slight hike in numbers as Bby John minted Rs 4.75 crores yesterday (day 5/ first Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 28.65 crores

Given the ongoing trend, Baby John is likely to see a massive drop in collections today (day 6/ first Monday). The action drama is expected to mint Rs 1.5-2 crores at the box office and as it will inch closer to Rs 31 crores mark.

Meanwhile, Varun, in an interview with India Today, spoke about taking inspiration from Theri and stated. "When Atlee came with this film, there was a reason behind it, and he said that we had to change a lot of the geography of the film. We have to use it as an adaptation and not really a proper remake, and I think that's what's done. Like you see, a lot of the frames and a lot of the story angles are different. So, if someone comes in expecting a book-by-book remake, they will be disappointed because that's not what the film is. It's an adaptation. We're not running away from that, but it's more of an adaptation".
