According to Sacnilk, the film opened to a box office collection of Rs 8.3 cr, marking Vicky's biggest opener of his career after 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. The comedy-drama raked in Rs 42.85 cr in its 1st week, followed by Rs 3.25 cr in its 2nd Saturday.

The movie has been facing a tough battle from the Hollywood superhero comedy-actioner 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. According to the latest Sacnilk report, Bad Newz minted around Rs 3.75 cr (early estimates) on 2nd Sunday (day 10) at the box office, taking the total collection to Rs 52 crores in 10 days.

Reportedly, Bad Newz had an overall 32.23% Hindi occupancy on Sunday, July 29, 2024.
