'Bad Newz' was one of the highly-anticipated releases of the year. The comedy-drama opened to a box office collection of Rs 8.3 cr, becoming the biggest opener in Vicky's career. The film saw a noticeable growth over the opening weekend and raked in Rs 10.25 cr on Saturday and Rs 11.15 cr on Sunday. On day 4, the film witnessed a massive drop and barely saw any growth ever since then.

According to Sacnilk, the dramedy managed to rake in Rs 2.15 cr (rough data) on its 2nd Friday (day 8). Now, the total estimated collection stands at Rs 45 cr in 8 days.
