In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, producer and film business expert Girish Johar stated, "I would be happy if it opens around Rs 20-25 crores. There is a confusion about Diwali holiday. Parts of country are celebrating on 31st and parts are celebrating on 1st. So it's not a full out holiday. It will be ideal if the film opens around Rs 20-25 crores".

Interestingly, as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is eyeing a great start at the box office, if the reports turned out to be true, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will emerge as Kartik's highest opener of all times. This isn't all. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will also manage to beat the opening day collection of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter which has been the second highest opener of the year. For the uninitiated, Fighter had minted Rs 22.5 crores on its opening day.
