After all, his recent release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has managed to do wonders at the box office. Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 happens to be a horror comedy and also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra for the first time. For the uninitiated, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 happens to be the third installment of the popular franchise and has been basking on the nostalgia related to it.

Interestingly, director Aneez Bazmee did a phenomenal job as he brought together the fresh pair of Kartik and Triptii who have managed to set the screens on fire. On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also marks Vidya Balan's return to the franchise after 17 years and fans have been quite excited to see her as Manjulika. This isn't all. Diljit Dosanjh and Pitbull have also collaborated for the first time for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 title track. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 witnessed a continuous dip in numbers since the first Monday, the second weekend turned out to be a game changer for the horror comedy. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 minted Rs 15.5 crores on day 9 (second Saturday) and saw another hike in numbers on day 10 (second Sunday) as it minted Rs 16.5 crores taking the overall collections of the movie to Rs 199.50 crores.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Beats Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Lifetime Collection

Though Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has failed to enter the coveted Rs 200 crores mark, it has managed to beat the lifetime collection of its prequel Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. For the uninitiated, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had made a lifetime collection of Rs 181 crores. This isn't all. The horror comedy has also emerged as Kartik's highest grosser ever.

Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee is overwhelmed with the audience's response to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and told ETimes, "It is the best birthday gift I could ever get. I am truly humbled by the audience's love".
