Bibi Rajni Box Office Collection Day 3: The Punjabi box office witnessed an interesting clash lately as two of the much talked about films hit the screens together. We are talking about Rupi Gill's Bibi Rajni and Dev Kharoud's Gandhi 3 Yarran Da Yaar. Both movies have managed to create a massive buzz in the town. While Gandhi 3 Yarran Da Yaar, which is the third installment of Rupinder Gandhi series, opened to mixed reviews, Bibi Rajni has been receiving an overwhelming response from the audience. Interestingly, despite a slow start at the box office, Bibi Rajni has shown significant growth at the box office during the opening weekend.

As Bibi Rajni, which also stars Jass Bajwa, Yograj Singh and Gurpreet Ghuggi, saw a decent response from the audience, it saw a slow start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 0.25 crores on day 1 (first Friday) followed by a jump of 120% on day 2 (first Saturday) wherein it minted Rs 0.55 crores. Interestingly, Bibi Rajni saw a major hike in numbers of over 100% once again on day 3 (first Sunday) and earned Rs 1.15 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 1.95 crores

Bibi Rajni Beats Gandhi 3 On First Sunday

Interestingly, as Bibi Rajni has managed to beat Gandhi 3 Yarran Da Yaar on the third day of release. To note, while Gandhi 3 was maintaining a lead with an opening day collection of Rs 0.75 crores followed by a collection of Rs 0.68 crores, it failed to beat Bibi Rajni on day 3. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gandhi 3 raked in Rs 0.84 crores on day 3 (first Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 2.27 crores.

Who Is Bibi Rajni?

For the uninitiated, Bibi Rajni was the youngest daughter of Rai Duni Chand and was a devout Sikh during Guru Ram Das's era. Her unwavering faith in God and her devotion, angered her father who in turn married her to a man afflicted with leprosy. While Bibi Rajni continued her faith in God, her husband saw a miracle while sitting by the river side wherein he saw a crow plunging into a puddle of water and transforming into a snow white bird. Amazed by the miracle, he submerges himself in the puddle too and transforms into a healthy handsome man.
