Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 10: Kartik’s Film Sees Growth; Mints More Than Opening Day Numbers

Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 10: Kartik Aaryan is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood and he has proved his mettle time and again on screen. Give him any role and he makes sure to deliver it with his full potential. After carving a niche for himself as a lover boy, Kartik is now making headlines for his recent release which has presented him in a never seen before avatar. We are talking about Kabir Khan directorial Chandu Champion which happens to be a sports biographical drama.
Also starring Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in key roles, Chandu Champion is based on India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. While Chandu Champion marks Kartik's first collaboration with Kabir Khan, the movie has been the talk of the town since the first day itself. Though Chandu Champion opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics alike, it failed to set the box office on fire and made an opening day collection of Rs 4.75 crores.
In fact, Chandu Champion was seen struggling at the box office during the first week and faced an intense competition from Sharvari and Abhay Verma starrer Munjya. However, as this Kartik starrer entered the second week, the second weekend came as a huge sigh of relief for the team as Chandu Champion saw a significant jump in numbers at the box office.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chandu Champion made a collection of Rs 2.65 crores on day 8 (second Friday), followed by a jump of 83% on day 9 (second Saturday) wherein it minted Rs 4.85 crores. But this isn't all. Chandu Champion saw another jump in numbers as it minted more than the opening day numbers on day 10 (second Sunday). Yes! Chandu Champion raked in Rs 6.5 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 49.25 crores.
Meanwhile, Kabir Khan recently spoke about the low opening of Chandu Champion and told Times Now, "The slow start did throw us off balance. But luckily, the word-of-mouth was positive. Let's see how it goes from here. Nowadays, it's hard to predict anything about the box office. We made a film which we thought would be liked by the audience. I am glad the audience ratio is increasing. These are tough times. We should be grateful for whatever attention the audience gives us".
