Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 5: Kartik Aaryan, who has successfully carved a niche for himself as a romantic hero, is all over the headlines for his recent release. We are talking about Kabir Khan directorial Chandu Champion which marks Kartik's first collaboration with the ace filmmaker. To note, Chandu Champion happens to be a sports biographical drama which was based on India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. The show featured Kartik as the titular character along with Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in key roles

From the inspiring storyline to Kartik's incredible transformation, Chandu Champion has been making headlines ever since it was announced. After all, it presented Kartik in a never seen before avatar. Given the stupendous buzz, Chandu Champion opened to rave reviews but saw an average start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 4.75 crores. The sports drama witnessed a decent hike during the opening weekend and managed to cross Rs 20 crores mark.

Interestingly, Chandu Champion witnessed a strong hold at the box office during the first Monday given the Eid holiday. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chandu Champion minted Rs 5 crores on day 4 (first Monday). Despite a positive word of mouth, Chandu Champion saw another drop in numbers on day 5 (first Tuesday) and was seen struggling to cross Rs 4 crores mark. Reportedly, the movie minted Rs 3.25 crores (as per early estimates) and took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 29.75 crores.

Meanwhile, Kabir Khan recently spoke about the low opening of Chandu Champion and told Times Now, "The slow start did throw us off balance. But luckily, the word-of-mouth was positive. Let's see how it goes from here. Nowadays, it's hard to predict anything about the box office. We made a film which we thought would be liked by the audience. I am glad the audience ratio is increasing. These are tough times. We should be grateful for whatever attention the audience gives us".
