Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 6: Kartik’s Film Holds The Ground Strong As It Crosses 32Cr Mark

Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 6: Kartik Aaryan's first collaboration with Kabir Khan - Chandu Champion - has been making headlines ever since it was announced. After all, the sports biographical drama narrated the story of India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. Besides, it also presented Kartik in a never seen before avatar and his stupendous performance had already left everyone in awe. To note, apart from Kartik, Chandu Champion also features Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in key roles.

As Chandu Champion created a massive buzz in the town, it opened to rave reviews from the audience as fans called it Kartik's career best performance. However despite the positive word of mouth and the buzz, Chandu Champion saw a slow start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 4.75 crores. While it did see a hike in number during the opening weekend, Chandu Champion a significant drop of over 48% on the first Monday (day 4).

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chandu Champion minted Rs 5 crores on first Monday (day 4) followed by a collection of Rs 3.25 crores on first Tuesday (day 5). While Chandu Champion has been witnessing a continuous drop in numbers, it raked in Rs 3 crores on day 7 (first Wednesday) as per early estimates and took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 32.75 crores. It will be interesting to see how Chandu Champion will fare at the box office in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Kabir Khan recently spoke about the low opening of Chandu Champion and told Times Now, "The slow start did throw us off balance. But luckily, the word-of-mouth was positive. Let's see how it goes from here. Nowadays, it's hard to predict anything about the box office. We made a film which we thought would be liked by the audience. I am glad the audience ratio is increasing. These are tough times. We should be grateful for whatever attention the audience gives us".
