Chandu Champion Box Office Collection Day 8 Prediction: Kartik Aaryan starrer Chandu Champion has been one of the most talked about films of the year for several reasons. After all, it marked Kartik's first collaboration with director Kabir Khan and the sports drama also presented the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star in a never seen before avatar. For the uninitiated, Chandu Champion is based on India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar and features Kartik essaying Petkar's role on the big screen.
To note, this happens to be Kartik's first movie in the genre and his transformation and performance left everyone in absolute awe. In fact, while fans have been hailing Kabir Khan's direction, it also called Chandu Champion as Kartik's best performance Also starring Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Vijay Raaz in key roles, Chandu Champion opened to good reviews and made an opening day collection of Rs 4.75 crores followed by a decent opening weekend.
Interestingly, as Chandu Champion has been witnessing a continuous drop in numbers, Kartik's charisma has also been doing wonders as the movie is maintaining a hold at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Chandu Champion made a collection of Rs 3.25 crores on day 5 (first Tuesday) followed by a collection of Rs 3 crores on day 6 (first Wednesday). Interestingly, Chandu Champion minted Rs 2.50 crores yesterday (day 7/ first Thursday) and minted Rs 35.25 crores in week 1. Given the trends, Chandu Champion is likely to make a collection of Rs 2 crores today (day 8/ Second Friday) as it inches close to Rs 40 crores mark at the box office. Interestingly, as Ishq Vishq Rebound, starring Rohit Sharaf, Pashmina Roshan and Jibran Khan, is hitting the screens today, it will be interesting to see how Chandu Champion will perform in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Kabir Khan recently spoke about the low opening of Chandu Champion and told Times Now, "The slow start did throw us off balance. But luckily, the word-of-mouth was positive. Let's see how it goes from here. Nowadays, it's hard to predict anything about the box office. We made a film which we thought would be liked by the audience. I am glad the audience ratio is increasing. These are tough times. We should be grateful for whatever attention the audience gives us".
