Devara Box Office Collection Day 2 (Hindi): Jr NTR’s Film Trails Behind Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD With A Huge Gap

Devara Box Office Collection Day 2 (Hindi): The month of September is set to end on a high note as one of the biggest releases has hit the screens. We are talking about Devara (aka Devara Part 1) which is an action drama helmed by Koratal Siva. Starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead, Devara has been one of the most talked about releases of the year. The movie also features Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan and Murali Sharma in key roles.

Interestingly, Devara marks Janhvi and Saif's debut in the Telugu industry and also their first collaboration with Jr NTR. Besides, Devara also features Jr NTR in a double role as the movie revolves around Devara (played by Jr NTR) a fearless man who is willing to go to any extent for his people. However, his brother Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan) is often seen conspiring against him. As Devara (Devara Part 1) managed to create immense buzz in the town, it opened to rave reviews from the audience.

Devara Box Office Collection Day 2 (Hindi)

Interestingly, Devara witnessed a decent start at the box office in the Hindi market and went on to see a slight hike in the numbers on the second day of release. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Devara made a collection of Rs 7.5 crores in the Hindi market on the opening day followed by an earning of Rs 9 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 16.5 crores.

Devara Fails To Beat Kalki 2898 AD In Hindi Market

To note, Devara has been witnessing a continuous comparison with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD. And while fans have speculated if Devara will beat Kalki 2898 AD, Jr NTR starrer has failed to beat Prabhas' film. While Devara has minted Rs 9 crores on its first Saturday, it is trailing far behind Kalki 2898 AD which had minted Rs 26 crores on its first Saturday at the box office.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR, who collaborated with Janhvi for the first time, is all praises for her and stated that she was hungry to give her best to the film. "There was so much of unpredictability in her. The first shot, she came and she gave. She just killed it. With so much pressure, it was a delight seeing her open up on camera," Jr NTR said in one of his interviews
